Waking up with a headache: why?

Causes of morning headaches

Another because that can cause headaches when we wake up is dehydration. The muscles in our body need a sufficient amount of water to carry out their functions efficiently, so a lack of this substance can generate, among other negative consequences, a reaction of this type. Other women have the habit of clenching their jaws excessively during sleep. This tension can travel to the muscles of the neck, shoulders and, of course, the head, producing annoying headaches.

Sinusitis is another factor that causes headaches. It is an infection in the nasal cavities that causes irritation and clogging in the nostrils, thus preventing a correct respiratory process. An inappropriate lifestyle that leads us to suffer from pathologies such as blood pressure and diabetes can indirectly cause headaches when we wake up.
