Strong headaches become unbearable for the person who suffers from them. There are solutions that reduce or completely eliminate the pain, but they are not always effective. For this reason, a Belgian company, after many years of research, has created an electronic headband that controls severe headaches. Cefaly is its name and it is full of electrodes that dominate the factors that cause migraines.
Cefaly, the headband that makes headaches disappear
People who suffer from migraines have a very common fear, which is that the pain will become chronic, as this is what usually happens. Thus, neuroscience researchers are trying to solve this problem. In this way, they created Cefaly: an electronic headband that prevents temporary migraines from becoming chronic. Usually it’s a legacy problem that didn’t seem to have a solution, now it does.
Cefaly is full of electrodes that help prevent the factors that cause headaches from continuing to increase and thus prevent them from becoming chronic. Until now, a long list of medicines had always been prescribed so that the pain, at least, was not so strong, but continuous intake ends up being harmful to health. For this reason, it is estimated that when this product hits the market, the sales rate will be very high.
Its operation is simple and its shape is very similar to that of a headband, hence the name in Spanish. This method works directly on the trigeminal nerve, which is where headaches come from. The headband is placed on the forehead, attached to the upper part of the ear, like glasses. For a better fixation, we will place an adhesive, which includes the product, on the forehead just at the height of what we call the space between the eyebrows. Cefaly has two programs, an initial one for previous pain and a stronger one for acute pain. Thus, you can choose the level yourself and prevent the pain from advancing further.
