There is no specific ailment that appears associated with the possible episodes of head pricks that we may suffer. They can appear, therefore, linked to different causes such as emotional tension, fatigue or indirect symptoms of pathologies related to migraines such as a feeling of heaviness in the head or a contracture in the cervical area. If we are faced with any of these cases, we must go to the family doctor as a preventive measure that prevents us from developing a more serious ailment.
Ailments related to head punctures
Migrainous neuralgia is one of the sharpest and most intense pains that we can suffer. It can occur in any area of the head, affecting the discomfort until it covers half of the region. Usually, the ailment begins by affecting areas such as the neck, eyes or temples to progressively move to the jaw. It materializes in the form of pinpricks or a sensation of small electric shocks and can cause episodes of nausea or intolerance to light.
Another pathology that can lead to the appearance of punctures is occipital neuralgia. It is a pain that tends to be generated in the back of the head or, at other times, in the upper part of the neck and at the base of the skull. The discomfort can appear, continuously or sporadically, in one or both parts of the affected region.
Patients who usually suffer from migraine processes may have several episodes of momentary shooting pain throughout the day. The discomfort can be reproduced around one eye or in the temple area, although it is possible that, as they occur, they move to other regions of the head. Given these cases, they can be treated medically, although the truth is that they disappear spontaneously and it is possible that they will not regenerate for weeks.
